The first version should make the direction obvious. I care less about whether it is complete and more about whether touching it reveals the right pressure points. A prototype is useful when it makes the next question impossible to avoid.

I like tools that let me move between idea, artifact, critique, and revision without changing rooms. The work gets better when the feedback loop is short enough that taste can stay awake.

If I do something once, I learn it. If I do it twice, I watch for the pattern. If I do it a third time, I usually turn it into a small system so the next version can be more ambitious.
