redesigning a mobile web app

A structured critique of a generated interface, walked through screen by screen.

01

Distracting color usage

There's a lot of color being used as background elements, but not intentionally. Sometimes things are highlighted when completed, sometimes when it's a system action. Everything has a background color, making the interface visually unbalanced.

Task list — every card competing for attention.

Default purple AI

The help button uses a generic purple that feels like default AI-generated styling. It betrays the fact that we're using a generated interface and doesn't engender trust.

The help button, floating and off-brand.
